Could someone please explain what's the use of this particular time lookups function?
@dpong8898
It is getting the "current period" that is set in the Time settings and converting it to the Quarter and Year values.
Hi @dpong8898,
I see you're working on the Time Settings Learning app. I’m not sure about the specific purpose of the "Superset Choice (from Time Ranges)" line item in the time settings model, as there’s no formula and it doesn’t seem to be referenced by any other line items.
However, I can explain the superset concept at a high level. In Anaplan, a Superset is used to combine different time periods into one larger set, allowing you to use them together seamlessly in calculations. This is especially useful when different parts of your model need different time ranges.
For example, imagine your model has:
A superset includes time periods from 2020 to 2024, even if 2022 isn’t directly part of your model calendar or time ranges.
Since you're still learning Anaplan, I suggest focusing first on understanding multidimensionality and core functions. Superset is more of an advanced concept.
I hope this helps. Seyma 🌷🙂
Superset Choice?
Hello, I submitted my application for the Talent Builder Program after completing "The Anaplan Way," but I haven't received my workspace credentials yet. Has anyone who applied in the last two weeks received their access yet?
It's now possible to use the additional insights to have dynamic filters, however the columns in the table are fixed widths. It's quite unfortunate that the ability is added, but the layout isn't dynamic. I understand that a report is more fixed, but adding dynamic columns would really help make the management report…
