What is "Use Level Based Indent" in Comparison report?

Hi all,

I cannot find what is the "Use Level Based Indent" update that appears in my comparison report before doing a sync, did anyone encountered it?

I have added a small list in the model, but for a lot of modules (that were not using the new list), saved views, Exports, have been recorded changes done to them, with the message from " User Level Based Indent " to "Use Level Based Indent: New Value ". Attaching the format in comparison report.

I am seeing something similar when I generated a comparison report today, unsure as to what the cause is.

Same here. Not sure what it is. Could it be linked to the fact that we can now use the Users list as proper list?

Hi all! We were seeing the same "Use Level Based Indent" issue in our comparison reports between our standard and deployed models, as well as changes to several Saved Views and Exports our Model Builders did not make. I'm a bit concerned that the Saved View changes will result in disruptions to our daily automated imports or exports triggered via our ETL tool, so we've temporarily held off on any syncs.

@AndreeaCepoi , @daniel.derowski , @LouiseBourgonjon , @andrewtye did you encounter any issues with your imports or exports after completing the model syncs, particularly those that are automated? I would really appreciate your feedback, as we've been hounding Anaplan technical support for an answer but they are not getting back to us…

I've done spot checks and am finding no issues.

Testing a few of the imports and exports and they are working.

Do you have a Dev / QA / Prod environment?

Maybe try pushing the changes to QA and testing before you push to production.

Thanks @daniel.derowski , we do have a QA ("Test") environment but sadly we don't automate any of our actions via our ETL tool (Informatica) in that model. That being said, we could certainly explore automating a single import or export tied to one of the impacted Saved Views there, then completing the sync from Dev. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi all,

Thanks for the answers, no impacts after sync. I checked saved views for changes and all the same.

What i noticed as common rule, that the comparison report might have considered when generating the use level base warnings, is saved views where data is filtered also/via selected levels of hierarchies. Still nothing changed in those saved views, so hopefully was just a platform update indexing if there are selected levels of hierarchies.

Are you all seeing the the "Use Level Based Indent" updates in just the Exports section? I have a plethora of changes in other sections (Modules, Saved View Changes, etc) too where we did not make a change.
