Restore to ID in production model (Deployed)
Hi
We have a development model (standard mode) and a Production model (Deployed mode) with ALM between them. The latest revision tag was pulled in Production more than few weeks ago. A production user updated data in production model last week. They haven't made any significant change since then but want to revert that change from last week.
It seems like we can use "Restore to ID" feature. Before we do that, I want to confirm, if
- Is it safe to use "Restore to ID" in Deployed mode?
- This action when done in above scenario will break ALM?
- Should we select "Unlink revisions created after this restore point"?
Thanks in advance.

This has all the answers - the process is at the bottom and have used it a number of times. Just have to follow it precisely.

Hi,
Assuming you want to restore the model to a point in time after the latest sync, then you can leave the model in deployed mode, and for the rest of your questions.
- Is it safe to use "Restore to ID" in Deployed mode? [Yes]
- This action when done in above scenario will break ALM? [No]
- Should we select "Unlink revisions created after this restore point"? [No]
However if you want to restore the model to a point before the latest sync, then please refer to the post by andrewtye above.
But as always, it's best to do an independent test just in case there's any misunderstanding.
Thanks
