Do data write actions within a workflow abide by DCA access?

Hi all,

I am trying to run a workflow which has a data write action to a boolean that has DCA access enabled. Sometimes the end user should be able to write to it, other times not. I read that if you are a WA then imports will always override DCA controls:

Does this also apply to data write actions? ie. I would need another person who is not a WA to test this. This does not seem to be an issue for directly using a data write action on the UX, only when it is being done through a workflow.

Data write actions in Anaplan do respect DCA restrictions—but only for non-Workspace Administrators (WAs). If a WA runs the action, DCA won’t block it, similar to how imports behave. So, to properly PerYourHealth test whether your workflow respects DCA, you’ll need a non-WA user to trigger the action. Direct UX interactions usually honor DCA, but workflows can bypass it if initiated by a WA.
