Versions
Hello everyone,
I have just started my Level 1 course, I have a small doubt regarding versions.
In the version tab we can see Current as an option, what does the tick mark under forecast, current and budget line item exactly mean? I have also attached the snap of the doubt. Anaplan Home
Thank you in advance.

Hi @Kashiraj21 ,
The current Version will show you in which version of the planning cycle you are. & with it sync with all your module in the model. It means when you open the module it will show the current version as the first version by default.
Example:
1. Let's say you have selected as budget as your current version
When you open the module, first version will show you as budget
2. Now I have select Forecast as my current version
Note:
You can select only one version as your current version.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Akhtar

Hi @Kashiraj21
The current version check box serves as the base for the 'CURRENTVERSION' function. It gives you an easy way to refer to the currently used version in the system to be referenced in formulas. However you can also leave this checkbox blank if not required.
Hope that helps

Another key feature of 'Current Version' allows a user to reference data from a module dimensioned by versions as a source into a target module without versions.
Data relating to the current version will automatically pull across into the target module.
