Security and Administration

In FCR users can be created using an import file. But once user is created it is no longer possible to import changes on users. Being able to import all user at once (all or some) to update their properties (except ID) instead of changing them all manually would be a great improvement.

Anaplan allows users to quickly see cell change history for a given cell, which is great. As a model builder, I'd love to have a similar functionality to easily Show History for line items - formula changes for sure, but ideally also changes in format, dimensions, and summary methods, along with the name of the user making…

Description of the enhancement required: Custom data storage alerts An example of the enhancement: Alerting support team when data storage capacity [workspace usage] is at or above 90% How would it help their business process: This will make sure we don't **** out of allocated space.

In order to support varied testing and especially split-model deployments (same dev model with different data sets/time periods), it would be useful to have Time Ranges be Production Data. This will provide value in allowing all deployed models linked to the development model to be configured independently and save on…

Hi, I want to syncronize model but error was occured. This is a error message with structure error. The structure of the target model is incompatible with the source model. The model structure may have been changed by another Administrator since the last revision tag was added. Select an alternative source model to…

Dynamic cell access can be extremely challenging with long user lists, especially if you want a user's read/write abilities to be dependent on their model role. If we were able to reference a user's model role via a formula, we could create role specific criteria for dynamic cell access.

Imagine this scenario: You are in the middle of making changes in your development model and have been doing so for the last few weeks. The changes are not complete and are not ready to synchronize. However, you just received a request for an urgent fix from the user community that is critical for the forthcoming monthly…

Hello, Former Anaplan Support member here. I was just about to create a Support Ticket for this intermittent error message, I wanted to see if there were others who have run into this message before? 1) I am checking to see if other users are facing this issue. 2) This is not model or workspace specific. I have already…

Description of the enhancement required: Allow for Workspace Admins to configure the Platform in English but support alias tables that allow end-users to switch between different languages (i.e. English to French, etc.) An example of the enhancement: Allow the end-user to set their own language preference within their…

Currently model backups can only be done via the application interface. The company I am working for does these backups daily and since we support a large number of models this turns out to be a very time consuming process of accessing each model individually and initiating the archiving via the web browser. Exposing this…

Enhancement request: ability for customer to automatically schedule model backups. Very common issue where data is lost either from changing Prod List to Non-Prod or vice versa or developer A changes formulas that effect Prod, etc. A one time setup preserves data and reduces reliance on humans to backup. The lower the…

In order to optimise the way profile acess is granted, especially on huge groups with several reportings based on different reponsability scopes, having the possibility to grant acess dynamically to a group of entity based on a property would be a significant gain. As an example on entities, if you want to grant acess to…

In as much detail as possible, describe the problem or experience related to your idea. Please provide the context of what you were trying to do and include specific examples or workarounds: Our developers need Page Builder access to create and manage Apps/Boards for model building and enhancements. This is primarily a…

I would like to trigger an email to a user based on a boolean. Specifically, send an email to an admin when a list needs to be reset. I am aware that WSA gets the notification within Anaplan, however I would like to send notification via email as the Admin is not logged into Anaplan on a regular basis

As a model builder and administrator, it would be a huge improvement if the history log could provide details into Bulk Data Changes. Our company utilizes user imports, and it is very difficult to track down changes when everything is grouped into one line of history. One option is to run history on individual cells of…

I need to produce user security/access reports for audit and CBN purposes, but this requires a lot of manual manipulation and cross referencing of data from Anaplan. I can extract a user list which shows what access the users have but does not show if they are enabled or not. There is also no overall report available to…

In as much detail as possible, describe the problem or experience related to your idea. Please provide the context of what you were trying to do and include specific examples or workarounds: As a model builder and end user, I want dropdown lists to dynamically filter based on selections in other fields, so that I can…

Summary: In this short lesson, model builders learn how to change the default page selector to the top level of a list. This course will take about 5 minutes to complete. Click to launch course!

Scheduled Cloudworks integration that fail move to AUTO_DEACTIVATED status. When this happens there's no other option that re-creating the integration from scratch, which results in unnecessary work. Depending on the user, this could have a wider application impact while the Admin integration will need to re-create the…

Currently, History page only allows us to filter based on date range. I think the search functionalities should be expanded further. It should be categorized at least as metadata (structural) and data changes. This will enable us to review model structural changes apart from comparing revision tags. For example, after…

Fluence consolidation is missing a security log that would enable to track changes made to application security. With this log missing, we have internal controls deficiencies. Please add a system log similar to the journal entry log that would track who made what changes to the security and when.

Our model has 700+ users so the list is quite overwhelming to deal with. They're also in some who-knows why randomized order. I see no easy way of changing this order short of removing them all and re-importing them in a different order. It would be really helpful to deal with this size of a list by allow admin to: *…

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a method of confirming a user's claimed identity in which a computer user is granted access only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence (or factors) to an authentication mechanism: * Knowledge (something the user and only the user knows) * Possession (something the…

I am looking for a report that can give me an idea of Which Current Users of Anaplan have accessed which of the accessible dashboards. How is it possible? Can someone please guide me.

If you missed the first two articles in this series, read Part 1 here and Part 2 here. This is a detailed walk-through (and a downloadable link to a practice model!) that you can follow to get started on your UAM journey. Note that the examples here leverage the Bulk API for adding new users to models. If you have enabled…

The core idea is to have UX Cards automatically update when the Card UX has changed: new line items into a grid or Field Card, conditional formatting rules change, etc when the same card is displayed multiple times. Example: User Filter Cards I have the same User Filter card on 90% of my Pages - let's call it 16 Pages. I…

We would like the ability to import a copy of a model that is archived in one workspace to another one of our workspaces. Right now, to get at an archived copy of one of our production models, we have to archive the current live model, bring back the copy, import over to another workspace, re-archive the copy, and bring…

Hi Sorry for the repost if somebody already realized this issue. A client implemented to new ALM feature for the standard UX. She realized that the selector can randomely switch form one source to the other while switching the page. Of course it's very dangerous. She is performing some UAT on the DEV and suddently she…
