ALM - Data loss in Prod - restore from history a deployed model
ALM - Data loss in Prod - restore from history a deployed model
This procedure to restore data loss is very risky and can break the ALM:https://community.anaplan.com/t5/Best-Practices/ALM-Explained-Part-3-Avoiding-Data-Loss/ta-p/86988
Anaplan should provide a serious and safe way to restore production (including data) from history without the risk of breaking the ALM and the need to change the status of the model to standard.
restore from history
Restoring a Backup is also another option that does not really work :
1) if we restore a backup the model ID change and if we have API calling the model ID those will not work anymore
2) UX pages link to the original model will not work on the restore model from a backup and all the pages will need to be manually link again
3) risk of ALM not working on the restore backup
4) the need to set again the mapping in the data sources

I never ran into these issues upon restoring models, but production models should be immune to these while having the usual critical backup / restore to id functionality working... definitely needed.
