Did You Know? That “Brought-Forward” feature in Anaplan model helps you retain the last period of the previous year even if the model calendar is rolled over to next fiscal year.
This feature is extremely powerful in Financial Planning & Analysis especially in Balance Sheet Account Planning where the ending balance of previous year needs to be treated as Beginning balance of the Current Year. It can also be used in Headcount/Workforce Planning. This is the only way where you get to keep one period of the previous year out of N number of periods.
Note: Brought-Forward is not available in Polaris engine as of today.
