WEEK 9: Start of Section

Did You Know what “Start of Section” in Anaplan is used for? Let us understand it here. For example, there is a P&L module for all the countries, as you can see in the video. Now let’s say the requirement is to show the P&L values at an aggregated level (for all Countries) in the same module. Here is how “Start of Section” could help model builders in improving their Productivity by reducing the number of changes required for each line.

 

Note:

Since we tend not to create subsidiary views, Usage of “Start of Section” has significantly reduced

Order of the line items play an important role here and any movement of the line items will change the dimensionality of those line items.
