Flexible time options - for instance on weekly time horizons

Many countries' business planners think in calendar week numbers, and there are a few different week numbering systems used globally. Customers request that Anaplan enhance the platform's native Time options flexibility to add more possibilities:

  • To define weekly time horizons start/ end,
  • Naming the periods,
  • Options on what defines “week 1",
  • Handling week 53.

Without this customers require that the model builders / partners build custom time structures. This results in longer and more complex model builds, increased model size, potential performance impact…. All consequences that detract from the goal of facilitating customers' time-to-value of new / enhanced solutions.

In countries where this is prevalent the solution needs to be enabled for planning with visibility to the calendar week numbers. So, all end users from these countries require such solutions, and currently the way to enable this is through customer model building.

Please enhance the native Time options to include the above flexibility in defining weekly periods.

Some countries where planning with week numbers is prevalent:

Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy.
