Description:
Currently, the ability to add or delete list members in Anaplan UX worksheets is limited to specific interactions, often requiring users to click on the row header or use action buttons. This can be unintuitive, especially when working with hierarchical lists or when users are focused on cell-level data entry.
Proposed Enhancement:
Introduce the ability for users to right-click on any cell within a row in a worksheet to trigger Add/Delete list member actions, with the following capabilities:
- Context-aware right-click menu that recognizes the list item associated with the row.
- Option to add a sibling or child list member depending on hierarchy level.
- Option to delete the current list member, subject to access controls.
- Page builders can configure this behavior per worksheet or card, including:
- Enabling/disabling right-click actions.
- Restricting actions by hierarchy level.
- Respecting selective access and role-based permissions.
Benefits:
- Improves usability and intuitiveness for end users.
- Reduces reliance on action buttons or row headers.
- Supports more flexible and efficient data entry workflows.
- Enhances parity with common spreadsheet and BI tool interactions
