In as much detail as possible, describe the problem or experience related to your idea. Please provide the context of what you were trying to do and include specific examples or workarounds:
When using the new UX functionality that allows us to alter the number formatting display for different list items - e.g. the line item is standard number formatted but one of the list members gets displayed in % - user inputs must still match the underlying format rather than the display format making it not user friendly.
How often is this impacting your users?
Who is this impacting? (ex. model builders, solution architects, partners, admins, integration experts, business/end users, executive-level business users)
Business/end users, solution architects (needing to design different solution)
What would your ideal solution be? How would it add value to your current experience?
Have the UX interpret the user input based on the UX display setting such for a line item with standard number formatting and a list with % UX display, the system interprets a user input of "20" using the UX display format and saves the value as "0.2". This would make it seamless for the end users without needing to change anything in the underlying model.
