Hello,
it is not possible to select a "level" (only single members) in AnaplanXL/Axis/Edit/Exclude. This is important when you have 2 or more dimensions on an axis and want to exclude a combination of one member of one dimension with a level of antoher dimension.
Therefore, I would have to use manual MDX as a workaround, which makes things complicated.
Left screen: Here I would like to select a level or somemember.childen, etc. like in the grid designer.
Right screen: Workaround with manual MDX (which can exclude a level, here L_206 combined with the ALL member of the other dimension)
This CANNOT be done in Design Grid/Advanced either. Levels can be excluded but NOT over TWO dimensions:
Pls. consider this new feature.
Common usecase:
You combine AllProducts and AllProducts.children with AllCustomers and AllCustomers.children in rows. You do not want to see the combination of eg. AllProducts.children and AllCustomers (or AllProducts and AllCustomers.children). And no, this is not the simple layout…
best regards
