FCR: Extra option required for Shortcut object within dashboard

We use shortcut elements on our dashboard to share reports with our user groups. Yet when we click on this shortcut the report will be opened within the browser. Certain reports we would like to be opened within desktop Excel. Can you pls add an extra option to the shortcut element, so that we can control how the report should be opened?
