TALENT BUILDER SUCCESS STORY - Meet Snehitha Adicherla
Meet Snehitha Adicherla, a Talent Builder graduate who landed a role with OpenSoft Systems. Discover how she built her visibility in the Anaplan ecosystem, navigated challenges, and turned her efforts into a career opportunity.
1. What made you choose Anaplan specifically? What stood out to you compared to other tools or career paths?
I was initially exploring different career paths in data and analytics, but what really drew me to Anaplan was how it connects business thinking with technology. Unlike traditional tools that focus only on data visualization or coding, Anaplan felt more like a platform where you can actually influence business decisions whether it’s forecasting, planning, or strategy. What stood out to me was the idea of connected planning. It’s not just about building models, but about enabling teams across finance, supply chain, and operations to work together using the same data. That combination of technical skills and real business impact made it feel like the right path for me.
2. What was the most challenging part of your Talent Builder journey? How did you overcome it?
One of the biggest challenges for me was the initial learning curve. I remember feeling confused when trying to understand how Anaplan models are structured it wasn’t like anything I had worked with before. There were moments where I felt stuck, especially when formulas or modules didn’t behave the way I expected. Instead of getting discouraged, I started breaking problems into smaller parts and focused on understanding why something works, not just how. I also referred to Anapedia and other learning resources to deepen my understanding, and reached out to peers who were already experienced in this field whenever I needed guidance. Gradually, things became clearer, and that shift in approach really helped me move forward.
3. How did the Anaplan Community supported you through your Anaplan journey?
The Anaplan Community played a huge role in my learning journey. Whenever I was stuck, I could find answers, discussions, or even similar problems that others had already solved. It made me feel like I wasn’t learning alone. What I appreciated most was how supportive and active the community is. People genuinely help each other, and that kind of environment makes learning much less intimidating.
4. What advice would you give to independent learners about building visibility in the Anaplan ecosystem?
I would say don’t just focus on completing certifications—focus on showing your work. Build small projects, share your learnings, and talk about your journey on platforms like LinkedIn. Even simple things like explaining what you learned or how you solved a problem can make a big difference. It’s also really helpful to connect with people who are already working in the Anaplan ecosystem understanding their work, asking for suggestions, and learning from their experiences can give you valuable direction. Consistency is key. Over time, people start noticing your efforts, and opportunities follow
5. How did you first hear about the opportunity at Opensoft Systems?
I found the opportunity through LinkedIn while exploring roles. After joining, I was introduced to Anaplan as part of the project requirements, and I quickly adapted by learning and applying it in a practical setting. It became a key part of my role and growth.
6. Did your Talent Builder certification helped you in landing your current role?
While I started learning Anaplan after joining my role, the Talent Builder certification helped me strengthen my understanding and gain confidence. It provided a strong foundation and practical knowledge that I was able to apply directly in my work.
7. Which other or current skills that you have were directly relevant to your current role?
My core technical skills include SQL, Python, Power BI, Informatica, and Salesforce. In addition, I have exposure to machine learning algorithms and LLMs, which complement my analytical skill set.
8. How did you prepare for your interviews?
My preparation focused on strengthening both fundamentals and practical understanding. I revised my notes and used Anapedia to reinforce key concepts and best practices in Anaplan. I also reached out to professionals in the Anaplan ecosystem via LinkedIn to learn about their interview experiences. This helped me better understand expectations and refine my approach to answering technical and scenario-based questions.
