In the Anaplan FCR map editor, users should be notified when there are validation warnings of already existing entries within a configured map they're attempting to open. More importantly, once the editor is opened, users should have the ability to filter on all rows with warnings. As an additional thought, users should also be able to export all warnings to a file (i.e. Excel) via button to make for an additional option to troubleshoot. The output should include the information that caused the warning for each entry; especially if there are several validation warnings to resolve.
Having a warning upon opening a map would be helpful so that the admin/user is aware that certain rows within it require an update. Otherwise, they may not be aware during maintenance (adding new rows or adjusting existing ones).
The filter would be extremely optimal when a map contains several hundred (perhaps thousands) of entries. In its existing form, scrolling/navigating through several hundred rows is extremely cumbersome in of itself, but especially even more so when attempting to locate validation warnings that are sparse (potentially making it a very frustrating experience). With a filter, the admin/user can group them, narrowing down the scope to just the validation warnings, providing a more efficient means to make the necessary changes (saving the admin/user a lot of time and potential frustration).
Exporting the validation warnings (via button) allows the admin/user to see all the issues in a different form. Instead of making the updates through the UIX, they could potentially export the mappings to a file and make the necessary updates using the validation export as reference. Some admin/users prefer to work within files and maintaining their settings through the import functionality rather than using the UIX controls.
