Import Current Period

We would like the ability to import current period into the time setting. Currently, models need to be rolled over month by month. If we could automate this process, we would have less maintenance debt and be largely hands off as our models update.

Would be very useful even more with the new UX because Time settings are not available in the New UX and Admin need to go back to the model to change the current period wich is restrictive.

Has there been any update on this? Very surprised that this isn't hasn't more traction. Seems like a completely legitimate feature to have included and the technical implementation should be reasonably straight forward.
