The New UX filters do not have the option to Expand (+) or Collapse (+) items on a filter.
Also, having the option to multi-select will solve a lot of reporting issues.

Actually you can multi-select items in a worksheet layout using Show/Hide on the needed hierarchy of the selected view. But it is not possible for now to select all branch of items.
