It would save time to not have to always go back to the modules tab and assign a functional area if I could do it upon creating the module, which seems sensible!
As a model builder, I would like to be able to set the Functional Area from the 'New Module' menu that appears after clicking ' + Insert Module' from the Settings area.
This would increase ease of keeping the model organized as it is being created, rather than having to specify Functional Area in the settings area after the fact.
There is plenty of room to the right of the 'Enter module name' box, and it could appear very similarly to the 'Functional Area' dropdown that appears when you select 'New Dashboard' from a View > Publish to Dashboard option.
I have attached a mock up of what I think it could look like, but it could definitely appear differently.
Straight forward, simple. Great idea.
Yes, yes, yes
And whilst we're at it, let's add a DISCO classification too

@NoahJI think I raised this recently;

Nice mock-up and whole-heartedly agree, would make cleaning up functional areas redundant if you could do this in the first instance!

@Miran
We should combine the two requests if possible
@CallumW - great minds think alike? 🙂 Apologies for redundant posting, I had attempted to search for the others but looks like I was not successful. I'm all for combining the posts however that happens.
Hi @CallumW, @DavidSmith, @NoahJ,
We've gone ahead and merged the ideas.
Best,
Miran
@NoahJ- not a problem, I'm glad to see someone else had the same idea! Hopefully we get to see this change implemented soon.
@DavidSmith- thanks for the merge shout-out!
Yes please!!! Designating the functional area during module setup will not only save the step of having to return to the model tab, but will also simplify setup in the contents section.
Any updates on this idea? Seems like there was a healthy amount of support, and would definitely help instill better habits in model builders.
The created XLSX file contains an index of template report names that quick link to the related report tab. Since templates may be used to create multiple different reports based on passthrough parameters, I believe it makes more sense for the index to reference the Description given in the report book rather than the Name.
In multiple Anaplan implementations across FP&A, S&OP, and operational planning use cases, a recurring design challenge is the overuse of hierarchical lists with Top Levels, especially on large transactional or operational lists. In many projects, hierarchies are introduced early with the intention of providing “future…

Current Workaround and Impact: The grid will display FY25 if the user first changes the selector in the page header to FY24, and then changes it back to FY25. Currently, end-users…
