Summing Module Results at Different Levels in Hierarchy? Even when I exclude the parent.
This is in regards to the SUM on the bottom right corner when you highlight the total number. It varies from different Hierarchy level of my chart of account. I have a parent and child chart of account with a top level. Ex. COA. COA L1 Top level is Total GL When I click total GL only and not select the rest, it shows me…

Why won't my vendor roll up to my Total department. It seems to be only this vendor.
I created a a vendor call MISC. Its to group all the vendor under a certain amount to MISC rather than showing a bunch of vendor. When I select Total Department, MISC won't show up. But if I go to the specific department call N/A or No Department, which is the roll up level. It will show up. I tried moving N/A around to…

Sorting of list when used as line item
Hi, I need to change how list hierarchies are sorted when used as format for a line item. See image below; In this case, I have 2 lists, where the ones named "Parent" are L1-level and "Child" L2-level. As shown in the images, the child are above the parent. I want it to be the other way around. Does anyone know how to do…

employee cost center change
Hi, I have set up employee list where in cost center is the parent. But how will the change of cost center be handled in Anaplan? If I just change the parent of the employee then the change is retroactive which should not be. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ana

COUNTA formula in Anaplan
Hi, I was wondering if there is in Anaplan the equivalent of the "COUNTIF" Excel formula: basically counting the cells in that range that match a specific condition. I was thinking of using it for calculating the % of Cost Centres that have input data so far against the one that have no values. Many thanks in advance! ****

Simple yearly average
Hi All having completed the 102 course I am in the process of building my first model, so please be gentle if I have asked a ridiculious question but I really cant figure this out. I have a line item showing balances across time periods and I would like a second line that shows the average for the financial year for the…

Distinguish between List Item or Line Item
Dear Members, I am new to Anaplan, so I would request your generous help. Order Number or Transaction Number is a Line Item or List Item? And if the answer is List. Then let me know, if millions of transactions happen daily in any Retail chain or Bank. And if we create Numbered List for the Transaction, after 1 Billion…

Sum one Line Item based on the value of another Line Item
Hi, I'm wondering is someone could help us with the following: We have a transaction module called "Data Store" which is made up of line items (columns) and a Transaction Unique Key (List - Rows) Refer "Image 1" for the Pivot View... Refer "Image 2" for the Model view. (This is a subset of the data contained in the module,…

How to get the average of the last 3 month from the same line item for Forecast version?
Hi, I am doing an OpEx forecast. How do I write a forumula to get the average of the past 3 month from the same line item for the Forecast Version only? I also want to be able to override the amount manually or by upload if needed. Is this possible or do I have to create another module to link it?

Saved view changes to sync with dashboards that have saved views published.
Hi Anaplan, It would be really useful to have any changes made to saved views to sync with the dashboards that contain these saved views instead of having to republish these changes. Thanks, Usman

master data list synchronization between models
Master data lists needs often be synchronized between the Data Hub and spoke models. At the moment we do this as follows (for incremental loads): In the spoke model: 1. Set the property 'in use' of all list items on FALSE 2. Load in the data from Data Hub to your spoke model (incl. the TRUE flag for 'in use' property). 3.…

"Show history" for list items
Currently one is able to export history in two ways: * As an admin: via setting "History" tab * Via a module. Selecting a cell or a range, one can get history for only the selected data. I propose two other ways of interracting the history logs: * Via General Lists tab: For example selecting a List and pressing "Show…

Opportunity to edit cells, that have less dimensions than the module itself
Currently such cells are displayed and calculated correctly, but cannot be edited without opening the subsidiary view. Anaplan is all about dimension, and that's the main advantage against Excel which needs either to put data on different sheets, or to implement complex VBA programming to provide several dimensions. But…

FIND list items by property value
Currently you're only able to use systm properties: Name and Code to identify List elements. Please add an optional argument in a FIND functions that would allow to use any single exact property in the selected list as a reference.

Code property
ITEM is not an occupied system property while CODE is. This makes the formulas ITEM and CODE not equivalent and thus inconsistent for Anaplan modelers. Since CODE() and ITEM() are very similar formulas, it would be nice to make their syntax similar. The practice that we use to keep formulas simple is creating “item”…

LOOKUP towards a line item that has less dimensions
Please add an option to use LOOKUP function towards a line item that has less dimensions. Need unique element through versions
Hi! I've got a module with few dimensions, including versions, I generate code there for a list to update. So I need to filter unique code. Use process inside another process
We have some instances where we are incorporating multiple actions into more processes. Instead of adding action A,B,C,D,E,F into 4 different processes, we could bundle this into Process X. Process X can then be used in the 4 different processes. This will make the maintenance more convenient. E.g. we can ad action G or…

Formula Access Driver
Sometimes we have a list in which some list items should be populated via a formula and some other list items via a manual input. The way to model this at the moment is to create 2 line items enabling to input first and see the final amount that takes into account the formula. Obviously, from an end-user perspective, this…

Have display name overwrite for modules/actions
Hi, as model builder it would be very handy to start using naming conventions like in the blog of @joeymorisette Time to Tidy: No More Mess in Your Models. With some naming conversions it would also be easy to sort your modules/actions (or in theory any object) on name, however if you publish modules to a dashboard you…

Allow specific list grouping within the Admin Settings Panel

Easily see whether a list or module is used in an Action.
As a model builder, I want to see whether a module or list is referenced by, or used in, an Action. For example, in "General Lists", we can see whether a list is referenced in a module's "Applies To", as a Format, or in a Formula. But we can't easily see, for example, whether the list is used in a Saved Export. The same…
