Anaplan Product and Feature Updates: subscribe to Anaplan’s feature updates page to stay on top of upcoming releases.
Recent Highlights:
- UX updates in August:
- Grid updates: Font colour conditional formatting: Font colour as a style for conditional formatting! Page builders can now select font as a style for conditional formatting, this is available for any Grids in UX pages, Tables in management reporting as well as in variance columns on a table. Page builders can now easily set positive numbers as green text and negative numbers as red among many other use cases! This new feature will give page builders more control on how important data is presented in UX pages and in management report tables.
- UX cards now support Rich Text formatting (Bold, Underline, Centre, etc…)
- Column Width setting over-rides give page builders more control over how UX is presented to end users
- CloudWorks – changes to scheduling applied from 13th August. Cloudworks scheduling will be updated to allow a 15-minute buffer between integrations to distribute load, based on feedback that execution times cannot be guaranteed. This may require customers to review existing carefully synchronised integrations.
- New format for the Anaplan Planual – a clearer structure for Anaplan’s best practice guide.
Coming Soon – CIO Essentials
Anaplan is building the capability to limit one person from managing an entire feature or activity.
- Why are we introducing this feature:
To support our customers who may have separation of duties as a company policy to limit a bad actor from affecting their tenant or to ensure that certain steps in an activity are managed by different people. Separation of duties is a best practice, but customers will have the flexibility to enable this new feature for their tenant and it is off by default. 30th August Aus/NZ is the GA (General Access) release date for this feature.
- What will change:
- Although the separation of duties changes will impact more features over time, this specific release only impacts the adding and removing of users on a tenant.
- Upon release, there will no change to a customer’s current functionality. The Tenant admin will be able to enable (or disable) this feature through a toggle in Administration. The default setting is OFF.
- If this feature is enabled with the toggle, the User Admin will continue to add new users via existing functionality in Administration, but this will restrict the Workspace Admin from adding and removing users from the User tab in the model.
- For example, a customer can ensure that a different person manages identities from someone who builds models by assigning the roles to different people.
- Import functionality will function as usual except users cannot be added.
