I seem to remember that at the user group they said that the new v3.1 Excel Add-in was going to be released on 8th December. Given that there is no sign of it, I must have got my dates wrong. Does anyone know the release date scheduled?

you didn't get the dates wrong. It was planned for December, but it slipped to be targeted for early Q1.
