I'd like to request implementing a formal notification system for upcoming platform changes and updates. This would be incredibly valuable for the Anaplan community for several reasons:
Real Impact Example:Recently (Sept 2025), an unannounced Cloudworks change restricted .csv000
file imports. This resulted in:
- Failed integrations for nearly a month
- 4 weeks of back-and-forth with support to identify the root cause
- Unnecessary troubleshooting effort across teams
- Business process disruptions that could have been avoided
While the limitation was eventually rolled back, this situation highlighted a critical need for better change communication.
Benefits:
- Allows teams to proactively adjust workflows before changes take effect
- Reduces business disruption and supports better change management
- Enables proper testing and process updates in advance
- Helps maintain smooth operations across organizations
Proposed Solution:Could we establish:
- A dedicated update notification channel (email/portal)
- Advance communications for significant platform changes
- Clear timeline of upcoming modifications
- Documentation of changes for future reference
This would help all of us plan effectively and maintain efficient operations of our models and processes.
