Application Lifecycle Management

I think the new feature of being able to adjust the version settings in a deployed model is great. I will apologise in advance if I have missed something, but think it would be a good idea if the current version checkbox can also be updated in a production model as this currently feels like a gap. I may want to remove some…

When syncing existing ALM models, users will find that the Current Period becomes unset in the Deployed model. This will occur for the first ALM sync after the 8th August Platform Release. The reason for this is due to the Time Label changes that have been introduced and which are documented here:…

Hello, We are in the final stages of an implementation and are running into issues related to marking lists as production data. The problem is that over the course of development many list items have been referenced in line item formulas, so the system prevents these lists from becoming production data. The workarounds…

This question came from my new client, who will be going live next week... Currently we have 3 models in the workspace, Dev, Test, and Prod with the Test model feeding the end user App. At some point in the next 2 weeks we will transition the pages to point to the Production model instead of the Test model. Do you…

The idea is to implement a visual model's topology map. The initial idea is to build it like the module map available in the model that shows all module dependencies, but for models. Currently there is a possibility to find information about ALM models that are synced with another on the revision list and on the source…

Hello Community, We've just identified this error while migrating to ALM one of our Models. This is the second one we are trying to deploy. The approach we've taken is to have One production model + One Dev + One Test Model (DEV and Test both in the same workspace). Model that is failing has 66.5 GB size from a total of…

Introduction There are no shortcuts when it comes to testing as part of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), but the following is a guide for how to test prior to deploying changes to production models, to minimize issues on deployment. As part of the decision to utilize ALM, you should have created the ‘structure for…

Hi everybody, Comparing to the last project, it takes long time to Add Revision Tag and Comp/Sync even though there has been little structural change. Anyone knows what the major factors could be? Is there anything related to data size? (but list size is small in development model) Best regards, littB

Ability to export mappings from action and import to other standard mode model. Basically to sync structure from one stan dard model to other while doing dev in sandbox and moving changes to Development environment.

Hi, I was syncing some changes from Prod to Dev and I realized the presence of some changes neither i did, nor did I find anyone else in history making it. Here is a screenshot from the comparison report: This seemed like an inconsequential change so I moved it to prod, later realizing that this changed the current period…

MSP requires the capability for flexible selection and deployment of targeted revision tags during ALM process for deploying different model updates across customers at different times. The situation is that MSP customers may be at different readiness points with respect to enhancements.

Hello Everyone, I am trying to revert a model back and I receive the following error: Any

Hi Friends, I have Dev & Prod model sync. After that I have entered few data in Prod (imported 5 times) but didn't sync. Now I find data was wrongly entered and I need to revert back to data (2 times back as it was). If I restore to Model History, will I lose the sync. Or as sync hasn't to do anything with data, it won't…

Hi Friends, I need a help. I have Dev & Prod models synchronised. Now if the Prod model is removed into a new workspace will the sync be lost?

I have a model that I would like to create a production model from. Currently, the model is in the target workspace, not in our development workspace. In order to not break sync, would it be better to move the current model into the development workspace then create a production copy?

Need an ability to compare changes between current model state and last revision tag, so that we know what all changes are to be part of future revision Tag. Existing feature include comparing changes between two Revision Tags - however this option is kind of reactive in nature and not proactive. Meaning you really can't…

As our Anaplan ecosystem grows ~10 production models, we are having to spend lots of time testing, especially when moving data from one model to another. Are there any Anaplan automation testing applications? How do you all handle this testing challenge?

How can I do this and not destroy alm syncing ability? Is this even possible? Thanks, Debbie

How do we decide/suggest customer that we need a different workspace for data Hub? Do we have any other benefits of having different workspace for data hub other than User segregation?

hello I wanted to know if Anaplan is cloud is hosted in Saudi arabia ? and also is Anaplan integrate easily with SAP S4 Hana ERP ?

On multiple dashboards, I am trying to unhide a list member. My deployed model obviously won't let me make any changes, but the dev model doesn't have any list members. The only solution I can think of is republishing all of those different module views to dashboards. I am trying to avoid this because it would take awhile,…

Hi Community, Since the past 2-3 days, we have had unexpected change after an ALM sync, which caused current period to remove in prod model, although current period is prod data, cant seem to understand why it is being removed. Any suggestions on how to prevent it

How to set USER ID as dimensioned in Module for making user contribution application

As organizations evolve and expand to serve a growing number of use cases, customers, and employees, scalability—the ability to support greater demand without impacting performance—is critical to success. Yet, with many traditional point or on-premises planning tools that operate in silos, scalability can appear as an…

hi Team! there is no model name in the window where you type "Yes", so it is not possible to verify whether a model is correctly selected or not, i always do double check. it will be very helpful if model name is there in the warning window.

Can we copy a model from one workspace to another? If yes, please describe.

Hello everyone, Our current workspace/structure as follows: DEV workspace TEST workspace PROD workspace ALM: DEV --> TEST, DEV --> PROD We are considering implementing a Data Hub to hold transactional data & be the single source of truth. I know it is best practice to first create the Data Hub and then the other spoke…

Hi Guys, We have just started going though the documentation on Amapedia and make some testing for our organisation, as we are preparing to bring in ALM (we already have a production system). Those are some initial questions that poped up, before going even deeper in updating any referenced formulas. Would appreciate if yo…
